SEO your way through Ebay Partner Network Changes!

As some of you might have heard, the ebay partner network will be changing the way they do business with their affiliates. Here is a snippet of the email sent out:

The greater the incremental revenue and the higher the expected lifetime value of the customers an affiliate sends, the higher the EPC and total earnings the affiliate will receive. Earnings Per Click (EPC) will be set daily for the previous day’s traffic.

For those currently in the EPN system, this means that SEO is going to play a very important part in how you move forward with this new Quality Click Pricing system that will take place in October.

For those signing up for EPN in the near future, you’ll have to take some important measures in producing quality websites with quality content that drives targeted audiences.

The quality of the traffic is determined by the lifetime value of the customers- this is kind of shady because our EPC will be calculated based on the users activity on eBay. Lets hope that you can drive consistent online shoppers to your site that will use eBay frequently! If not, you are doomed! Not really, you still have something you can do… this, my friend, would be where SEO steps in! You’ll need to drive more and more traffic and incrementally increase your revenue through sales. This means you’ll have to find new ways of trying to take over your particular niche and beat out your competitors. How will you do this? SEO!
